A roughly 14-tatami mat space filled with sightseeing information about Shuzenji Onsen and the entire Izu Peninsula. A quiet area where you can comfortably ask our staff for recommendations, such as dinner spots or ideal places for trekking. The scale model of the Izu Peninsula is especially helpful when planning your itinerary.

On the second floor, there is also a space suitable for reading or remote work, perfect for getting some tasks done between sightseeing or simply enjoying some time alone.

Sharing a meal from the same pot with the friends you’re traveling with or with guests you met that very day is one of the unique pleasures of staying at a guesthouse.

The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, IH stove, a variety of dishes, cookware, and seasonings. Free drinks are also available, including drip coffee and tea bags.

Within a 10-minute walk, you’ll find a deli, a fish shop, and a greengrocer, so guests staying long-term can cook using fresh local ingredients.

There is a rooftop at Hostel Knot.
It doesn’t offer a view over the entire hot spring town, but it’s often used for enjoying beautiful sunset skies or cooling off in the summer evenings.

Guests staying for longer periods can also use the space for hanging laundry. There’s enough room to leave swimsuits, float rings, and other summer leisure items, making it a convenient base for trips and vacations.

During the summer fireworks festival, it becomes the only prime spot where the fireworks rise right before your eyes from less than 100 meters away.

  • Please consider other guests when using the shower room, toilet, and wash basin.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the building. Please use the designated smoking area located outside the hostel.
  • There is no curfew since we provide you with a key at check-in, but if you go out or come back late at night, please be mindful not to disturb other guests in your room or our neighbors.
